A 5 year old child has progressive decreased hearing loss and mild earache off and on. There is H/O nasal obstruction, both tympanic membranes are dull with loss of light reflex.CPMC
a. Diagnosis..GLUE EAR(SEROUS OTITIS MEDIA)
A 35 year old female presented with pain left ear for last 4 days. The pain is aggravated o chewing movements. There is no history of ear discharge. On examination movements of pinna are painful, meatus is occluded by swelling and there is some forward displacement of pinna.CPMC

b. Differential diagnosis..FURUNCLE,DIFFUSE OTITIS XTRNA,MALIGNANT OTITIS ECTRNA

DIAGNOSIS..ACUTE MASTOIDITIS DUE TO CSOM


A female 45 years develops episodic vertigo. Each episode of vertigo being intense, accompanied with nausea and sweating, fullness in the ear, tinnitus and decreased hearing during the attack. She is having such episodes for last 6 months.CMC
DIAGNOSIS..MENIERE’S DISEASE


 A 7 year old boy presented with mild otalgia and his mother was worried about his progress in school. Since last 6 months he has on and off attacks of sore throat. He also c/o difficulty in hearing.CMC
DIAGNOSIS..GLUE EAR

 A 28 years old female was brought to emergency with history of headache, fever and neck stiffness. There is history of long standing left ear discharge, for which she was taking medications on & off. On examination she had attic perforation.AIMC
DIAGNOSIS..Atticoantral CSOM LEADNG TO MENINGITIS
>> A 40 years old female presented with history of episodic vertigo, right sided tinnitus and hearing loss for last 5 years. Frequency of attacks is increasing and now she has developed decreased hearing from right ear.AIMC
DIAGNOSIS..MENIERE’S DISEASE

 40 year old male had surgery for cholesteatoma on left side. On recovery from anaesthesia he noticed that he cannot close his left eye and angle of mouth is pulled to the right without any taste disturbance.WMC
DIAGNOSIS..INFRACHORDAL(BELOW CHORDA TYMPANI) LESION OF FACIAL NERVE/paralysis of infratemporal part of facial nerve due to mastoidectomy

 A 40 years old male presented with episodic vertigo and fluctuating sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus for last 2 months.QAMC

>> A 15 years old boy presented in emergency with sudden facial asymmetry on left side after herpes zoster infection.QAMC
RAMSAY HUNT SYNDROME(FACIAL PALSY DUE TO HERPES)

 9 years old boy presented with complaints of watching and listening tv with loud voice and poor performance in class and no response to conversational voices.FMH
DIAGNOSZ..GLUE EAR

>> 45 years old patient with sudden vertigo on changing the position of head which is of few seconds associated with nausea only.FMH
DIAGNOSZ..BPPV(BENIGN PROXYSMAL POSITIONAL VERTIGO).

>> 25 years old developed loss of hearing and facial palsy after getting injury on the scalp.FMH
DIAGNOSZ..TRANSVERSE FRCTRE F TMPORL BONE/

>> 30 year old female receptionist with episodic vertigo, tinnitus and reduced hearing. Ears normal. Her pure tone audiograms show bilateral low frequency sensorineural hearing loss.NSMC
DIAGNOSZ..MENEIRE’S DISEASE

>> 26 years old pregnant lady with right sided complete lower motor neuron lesion facial nerve paralysis.NSMC
DIAGNOSZ..BELL’S PALSY

>> A 3years old child with his mother who complains that his child could not speak intelligently. Ears normal in shape.NSMC

>> Young man having motor cycle accident with right ear bleeding with sight hearing impairment. Vitals, Glasgow coma scale and neck movements are normal but there is some blood in the right external auditory canal with conductive hearing loss.RMC
DIAGNOSZ..LONGITUDNAL FRACTURE F TEMPORAL BONE( LEADING TO TYMPANIC MEMBRANE PERFORATION, OSSICULAR DISRUPTION)

>> Female 22 years with right ear pain for 3 days which has gradually increased in intensity. The pain aggravated on chewing movements. There is no history of ear discharge. Movements of pinna are painful, meatus is occluded by swelling and forward displacement of pinna.SIMS
DIAGNOSZ..FURUNCLE

>> Female 25 years with decreased hearing in both ears for last 4 years which is gradually worsening. Hearing is better in noisy surroundings. Tympanic membrane intact but pinkish in colour.SIMS
DIAHNOSZ..OTOSCLEROSZ


>> 55 years old female with recurrent attacks of tinnitus with vertigo and fluctuating hearing loss. Normal
tympanic membranes.SZMC

DIAGNOSZ..MENEIRE’S DISEASE

>> 2 years child with fever and severe pain right ear. Respiratory infection 3 days back. Bulging and hyperemic right tympanic membrane.SZMC
DIAGNOSZ..ACUTE SUPPURATVE OTITIS MEDIA

>> 45 years old lady got an attack of severe vertigo while delivering a lecture which lasted for about 30 minutes after which she was normal. h/o few such attacks in the past. Ear looks normal. Tuning fork test shows mild sensorineural deafness in the right ear.IMC
DIAGNOSIS..MENEIR’S DISEASE(DO CNFRM IT)
