Before I start writing about what to do lets think about why should we shun smoking? Writing about nicotine and tar is all useless. Millions of advertisements are running day and night showing how smoking can cause cancer and lung diseases etc. Despite knowing all the hazards everybody still does smoke. Making some one afraid of some thing won’t make any difference unless the very person is willing himself to stay away from
that thing.
So, lets adopt a different policy. Society has a lot of influence on one’s behavior. In order to bring change in somethingone has to change the outlook of a society towards it. So lets start our objective. Over the next few days i’ll post about what different strategies you have to adopt in order to stop smoking.
1. Rally your friends and family against you!
The first thing you have to do is to ask all your friends and family members to stop you from smoking. This is very important. Even though we won’t listen to them. Others remarks does sometimes affect our subconscious. If you are a teenager than make up a mindset that when ever you smoke the people around you are actually annoyed of you. You might be looking all cool and stuff but infact all you are doing is puffing smoke out of your mouth. Nothing is special in it because you are not the first one who is doing that. Millions are doing it daily. You are not SPECIAL. Smoking won’t make you special.
2. Stay away from your smoker pal!
If it is about girls that you are smoking than know this a girl would prefer a heavy build body , a sexy and athletic physique rather than watching your mouth releasing smoke. One of the trends among us regarding smoking cigarette is most of the youngsters smoke while observing others. Remember that you are special, you are the best! just like Muhammad Ali used to say he was the best which he indeed was. But to be the best you have to so something special ( being a world heavy weight champion is one of the things :p) Anyways, during the teen years one holds a lot of potential not only to accelerate in studies but also athletics. Many are international sports players at this age. The most important thing about these people is that only a small percentage among them smoke! So, start looking up to people who are doing great in this world and imitate those rather than your old smoker pal whose life is nothing but a piece of cigarette!
