Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome - A growing problem

The diseases are on the rise owing to the growing change of lifestyles and feeding habits. The details of PCOS can be found all over the web so i am not gonna go there. What i am gonna discuss is something simple. Feeling dizzy all the time? lethargic? unable to concentrate? feeling that you are gaining weight? feeling thirsty hungry? its time to start worrying. Many of these matters depends upon the mood but that is not case every time.

All the diseases and disorders start off in your brain. You start having all kinds of different ideas that something is wrong with you. This is most common among doctors due to their knowledge of medicine. But care is of utmost importance. In today's world the biggest dilemma is that we acquire most of the diseases from what we eat. If we talk about PCOS then broiler chicken and all the fast food products pose the paramount factor as taking you step by step closer to this disease.
The trends are changing we see people approaching all sorts of fast foods. Mcdonals , KFC , Hardies... the list goes on.. All this is becoming a trend especially in Pakistan where these
places have always fascinated the masses. Most of the people going to these places have no idea what they are eating or feeding their children. The only reason they go is "peer pressure" (at least most of the times it is).
Now what happens when we eat such things? its simple first you relish the food (its finger lickin good :p) it might be indeed. second, you feel that you have over eaten (happens most often) . third , you digest it and the days over. But that's not all every bad thing has a specific feature and that is "addiction". Once you start having  it you keep wanting it more.
Now coming to the main topic these chicken products lack antioxidants which are chemicals inside your body that protects you from a lot of bad stuff. The feed that is given to the chicken is basically the main culprit. Artificial flavouring and mass increasing steroids are poisons that we intake while relish all this stuff.

The Ultrasound

It starts of with weight increase, your appetite increase a lot. You feel hungry and thirsty all the time. Slowly you start feeling growth of hair on your face has increased. This is termed as "Hirsutism" . Your muscle mass also increases. Your body build will start showing some masculine features. Now when you start experiencing all this this you should immediately get your blood sugar checked. It will be increased. No need to feel anxious , just take simple measures the most important is to get your ultrasound done by some local laboratory. Take your reports to the physician, he will take over from there.
All this happens because you will be having a growing cyst in your ovary. Its a kind of ball like mass might contains fluid too. What it does? well it actually increases your hormones output. It will cause hair growth, increase your body resistance to insulin which will cause increase blood glucose levels, it will build your muscle mass and will increase your weight .Now all this stuff looks dangerous and you will start fearing for the worst. Now this is the main problem, the "fear". The disease is absolutely curable. All you have to do is take the prescribed medicine and stop eating junk food and start taking fruits and vegetables. Now that is the best feed vegetables contains vitamin C, E and a lot of other oxidants same goes for fruits especially citrus fruits. Take them daily. Eat fresh and healthy food with proper medication and you will slowly feel better.
Problems arise when you don't comply to proper protocols , you don't change your habits! and most importantly you don't listen to your doctor and these problems can very much be exacerbated to infertility.
Most of the women are afraid to get their ultrasound done owing to the thinking that this might reveal some big problem and all. A lot of education is needed in this matter as time holds a lot of importance and if you get your check up done you might be saving yourself a lot of money, distress and most importantly living a happy and sound life. So, stop being afraid and take care of your health. Start off with changing your dietary habits and losing your weight and most importantly daily exercise!
